Wheeling, WV - Washington Spine, Disc and Joint Center, and the Wheeling Miners have made a significant move in bolstering their roster, announcing the signing of fan-favorite kicker Anthony Prevost. Prevost, who previously captivated the hearts of Wheeling fans during his tenure with the Roughriders, returns to familiar territory with immense anticipation.

General Manager and Head Coach Josh Resignalo expressed his enthusiasm about Prevost's return, highlighting the importance of retaining local talents and reintroducing familiar faces to the community.  Not only is it important to sign local players, but to also try and bring back some familiar names, Resignalo stated. He emphasized the significance of responding to fan feedback, acknowledging that many of their requests align with ongoing team initiatives.

Prevost's signing signifies a significant milestone for the Wheeling Miners, underscoring their commitment to assembling a competitive roster. With his veteran experience and leadership qualities, Prevost is poised to make a profound impact on and off the field, serving as a mentor to his fellow teammates.

In a statement regarding his return, Prevost expressed his excitement about rejoining the Ohio Valley community and contributing to the team's pursuit of a championship.   I’m excited to get back on the field, especially back to the Ohio Valley! It’s going to be a great season, and I’m looking forward to winning another championship, Prevost remarked with enthusiasm.

Prevost brings a wealth of experience to the Wheeling Miners, having handled kicking duties and punting for four years at Hampton University. Currently serving as a football coach at Virginia Union University, specializing in special teams, Prevost's coaching background adds a strategic dimension to his role as a player.

Despite his busy schedule, Prevost also serves as the Head Coach for both the men’s and women’s Panther Club Soccer Program, showcasing his dedication to mentoring athletes across various disciplines.

With Anthony Prevost back in the fold, the Wheeling Miners are poised to elevate their performance and forge a path towards championship glory.
